A premium culinary ingredient, Nielsen-Massey Rose Water has been produced by a company well-known for producing high-quality flavour extracts and waters.
What is Nielsen-Massey Rose Water?
Made from rose petals, it is a distilled aromatic water known for its floral, sweet and slightly spicy fragrance. Its normally used to add delicate rose flavour to both sweet and savoury dishes.
Key Features and Uses:
- Pure and Natural – Often made using a traditional distillation method from rose petals
- Allergen-free – Typically gluten-free, non-GMO, kosher and often vegan
- High concentration – It has a high potency, so a small amount goes a long way
- No artificial flavours or colours
- Baking and Desserts – Can be used to enhance cakes, cookies, baklava and Turkish delight, along with pairing well with berries, white chocolate or rice pudding
- Beverages – Can be added to lemonades, cocktails or lassis for a floral twist
Usage Tips:
Its best to start small due to its potency – so 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon – and then adjust depending on how strong the rose flavour needs to be. To create a more balanced flavour, try combining with other ingredients like vanilla, pistachio or cardamom.
